Are we ready for something BIG?

150 dead and the count is still on. This is not the first time we are bearing the burnt of this menace.

http://soodvarun.blogspot.com/2008/10/how-does-it-matter.html

Why are we letting it happen time and again? India, my beloved country, has been ruled for centuries - Sometimes by Hindu Kings, sometimes by Muslim Kings, sometimes by British and now by The Politicians. They are just happy creating feud between ‘Maharashtrians and Northies’ or between ‘Hindus and Muslims’. Are we blind that so obvious is not visible? Or has the slavery entered deep into our veins and into our subconscious that we are happy being ruled??? Three of them belonging to this club (representatives of people) were also present at the massacre site but they came out unscratched. Guess!! God also wants them to rule us.

We are good citizens because we pay income tax at time, don’t create any brawl…infact we don’t do anything. Do we have some duty towards the nation and towards the community or does it finishes between the four walls called ‘The House’??

Many of us learnt that Mergers and Acquisitions succeed when all have a common goal. May be that’s why we are failing. Each state wants to be a self-reliant state but none wants a self reliant country.

Day and night we are just running behind our careers, not even knowing that how many of us or our beloved ones would be with us to see those good times. Chairman of a Pioneer Bank, family of a GM… it just took a few moments.

I would like to leave you all with one thought – Why aren’t we ready for something BIG? Morally we are almost dead; the only thing which we will let-go is our body. Isn’t it?

How does it matter?

After having a great time with my family I was travelling back to Chennai. On the way to Delhi, I came across the news that "6 bombs have exploded in Delhi". I was about 50kms from the Delhi Railway Station; A chill ran down my spine; Stations are considered to be quite vulnerable and I cant do anything. Brother, Sister and their families,  all were on the way, few hours behind me. I immediately called them and exchanged some words of care. But again, we cant do anything.
One of my classmates, who was supposed to carry the railway tickets for this journey, postponed his trip. "Varun, take the printout of the ticket; Arun is not coming". Where the hell to get the ticket??? Delhi is burning in flames... n I cant take any risk!!!
This is a small snippet of mine "not so euphoric experience with Terrorism". During all those moments, I just said to myself.. "I cant do anything".
If I was not in Delhi that day or the explosions would have taken place somewhere else, I would have said "How does it matter to me". We are so Individualistic or familistic (if this word exists) that whatever is happening to the community or to the country we have found an easy answer, "How does it matter?". Kashmir has been burning for more than 2 decades and none except those Kashmiris are bothered. Gujrat burnt and none except those living in Godhra were bothered. Jaipur..Mumbai..Delhi.. all have borne the burnt and none except those poor souls felt the agony.
Daily, some channles flashes the message,"Series of bomb blasts..many killed". We see the news, feel a little pity and goes off to our normal routine. Who has got the time and how does it matters to us? We are safe and our near and dear ones are also safe.
Yes I adore western culture, cos they feel the pain for their society, they care for their people. Once hit by this menance, they go to any extent to eradicate this. Call it good, call it bad but they made it sure that 9/11 doesn't strike again. And for all of us Indians,"How does it matter"???

MBA.. is it mean or does it makes MEAN

U may know or u may not know, its a different story. But other person should only know that you know. Business stalwarts walking in the blazing suites have one thing in common (atleast most of them), all are Graduates in todays most sought after course.. MBA..But is MBA a Mean or does it makes us Mean.. In the pursue to earn big, are we caught inbetween the fine line of making it a mean or an end? Its an end for those who feel that it will take them to the Nirvana. But has anyone ever been able to attain Nirvana? If not then how can it be an end? Some people think that its a earning-multiplier. Yes it is. But then are they treating it as a Mean or ultimately making it mean?I would have a better personality.. Thats what everyone think before taking the course.. but later relaises that everyone else except him has changed.. because he is a big man now.. is his wallet inflating or his waist???Day and night one thought, 9L or 13L..work hard, thats what those old soul says.. but here they say, work smart..wasnt I smart enough to get here..so what am I doing??
