150 dead and the count is still on. This is not the first time we are bearing the burnt of this menace.
http://soodvarun.blogspot.com/2008/10/how-does-it-matter.html
Why are we letting it happen time and again?
We are good citizens because we pay income tax at time, don’t create any brawl…infact we don’t do anything. Do we have some duty towards the nation and towards the community or does it finishes between the four walls called ‘The House’??
Many of us learnt that Mergers and Acquisitions succeed when all have a common goal. May be that’s why we are failing. Each state wants to be a self-reliant state but none wants a self reliant country.
Day and night we are just running behind our careers, not even knowing that how many of us or our beloved ones would be with us to see those good times. Chairman of a Pioneer Bank, family of a GM… it just took a few moments.
I would like to leave you all with one thought – Why aren’t we ready for something BIG? Morally we are almost dead; the only thing which we will let-go is our body. Isn’t it?

Well said..Varun
excellent post Varun...its a shame that its happening repeatedly
well said mate
Varun, I guess its still the fight for the basics in a common man's life that doesn't let us think beyond the small trivial issues. And till he doesn't receive his basics he will not see beyond that, becoz u need to be happy to alleviate the plight of others, u need to be full to satisfy the hunger of others and u definitely need to FEEL BIG to give something BIG to others.
varun, have you seen the movie 'shawshank redemption'. the concept of being institutionalized is expained. and that is what we are experiencing. can u leave mba midway if you want? can u not be successful if you dont care? can u not fall prey to people who supposedly know more than us.. can u miss a test if u want to? we cant.. why? cuz we are institutionalized.. in systems.. formed by society, culture, relatives, friends, etc. the point u raised in your blog is about individuality.. hearing tht inner voice.. but what about the outer noise?
I think we as a part of system have learnt to live in mediocrity. Are we ready for something BIG? The question you pose itself is a challenge for the community as a whole. Time and again we have settled for small under the illusion of "BIG". Everytime it happens under the illusionary blanket of "Spirit of common man of India" and I fear it may happen again. Few so-called "well wishers" assuming righteousness for a larger society would still feel North Indians are bigger threat than someone 506 nautical miles away and a politician obsessed with displaying the variety in his wardrobe may yet again change his attire :)
Rutviz I agree with what u are saying. We are institutionalized and to come out of that we have to do something different, infact very different and hence the question of doing something BIG comes.
hmmm
I pray nothing strike bigger than this in future...
Nice post mAN!!1
keep bloging!!!
Very True !! Now a days people try to understand others, However they don't understand themselves. To make any changes in the system or to do something big, they have to look within themselves and should hear their inner voice.
